Q What does your service include?

A Our standard quotation includes production of a complete new drawing. On completion a draft copy is submitted to your Certifying Authority approval. Once accepted, the final prints are produced for the Certifying Authority stamp.

  1. A total of two certified copies cover the minimum requirements for each vessel.
  2. Additional copies can be supplied for office or training purposes.
  3. Whilst we are happy to liase directly with your nominated Certifying Authority on your behalf, any fees or expenses incurred are charged to you at cost.

Q What if there are changes to the regulations or modifications to the vessel?

A All fire plans are stored on disk in our secure archive and can be accessed and modified at short notice. We maintain a very close contact with IMO technical committees and consequently are able to advise customers when their fire plans require up dating due to changes in the regulations.

Q Is it possible to include additional information and or symbols to suit our company requirements?

A This can be done but the symbols used must be based on the format required by the regulations. Other information can be included as required, providing it is acceptable to the Certifying Authority.

Q What if we have more than one vessel in the same class?

A This has a number of advantages but the main ones are:

  1. The cost per vessel is reduced.
  2. The location of equipment can be easily standardised.

Q How long does it take you to prepare a fire plan?

A This depends very much on the complexity of the vessel and the quality of the original material you supply, but on average we can complete the first draft of a typical tanker or cargo vessel in around 9 to 10 working days.
