The methods are used to upgrade Fire Control & Safety Plans.

Alt. 1 - From existing general arrangement plans:

  1. Using an old, hard copy of the existing General Arrangement Drawing a computerised reproduction is made.
  2. From information given showing the location of equipment on board the vessel, the current symbols, notes and legend are inserted to satisfy the Certifying Authorities approval process.

Alt. 2 - From old fire control plans:

  1. If an existing Fire Control & Safety Plan is available the drawing is computerised as in 1. above.
  2. From the information contained on these plans and any additional information the current symbols, notes and legend are inserted to satisfy the Certifying Authorities approval process.

Alt. 3 - From existing computer files:

  1. Where general arrangement drawings are available on computer file considerable saving in time can be achieved.
  2. Usually using a marked up print of the current symbols, notes and legend are inserted to satisfy the Certifying Authorities approval process.

On completion of the above work we submit a draft copy, on your behalf, to you or to your Certifying Authority for comment or approval and complete any required modifications.

Once accepted by the Certifying Authority the requisite number of final prints are returned to you stamped “Approved”.

We can offer the finished plans with as laminations or encapsulations for protection on board the vessel, and if acceptable to the certifying authority, can reproduce the plans in booklet form.
