Regulations:

Garbage Record Book and Garbage Management Plan
Annex V of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, as modified by the Protocol of 1978 (MARPOL 73/78), requires that a record be kept of each discharge operation or complete incineration of ship generated garbage, if the ship is certified to carry 15 or more passengers and is engaged in voyages of more than one hour. A garbage management plan must be prepared and vessels of over 12 metres overall length must carry posters or placards to advise crew and passengers of the ship's garbage disposal requirements.

Ballast Water Record Book
In accordance with IMO resolution A.868(20) - “Guidelines for the control and management of ship’s ballast water to minimize the transfer of harmful aquatic organisms and pathogens”, a record is to be kept of each water ballast procedure. This includes loading, exchanging & discharging ballast.

Survival Book
SOLAS Chapter IIIB Section IV Regulation 34 and the LSA Code Chapter IV Regulations 4.1.5.1.22 and  4.4.8.4. require liferafts and lifeboats to carry a survival manual which complies with Resolution A.657(16).

SOLAS Manual (Survival Training Manual)
SOLAS Chapter IIIB section V regulation 3.2, requires that a survival training manual be provided in each crew mess room and recreation room or in each crew cabin.

SMPEP (Shipboard Marine Pollution Emergency Plan)
Complies with MARPOL 73/78 Consolidated Edition 2002 Annex II Regulation 16 requiring any ship of 150 tons gross and above, certified for the carriage of noxious liquid substances to have a SMPEP approved by the Administration. In the case where Annex I Regulation 26 also applies it may be combined with the SOPEP.

SOPEP (Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan)(Tanker)
Complies with MARPOL 73/78 Consolidated Edition 2002 Annex I Regulation 26 requiring every oil tanker of 150 tons gross and above, and every ship of 400 tons gross and above to carry a SOPEP, approved by the Administration.
