April 2011 sees the launch of another important safety awareness and training poster from Maritime Progress.
The Vessel Induction and Familiarisation poster forms part of the popular "Safety Works", series of posters which have been continually developed by Maritime Progress since the company's inception in 1985.
This poster emphasises the importance of induction and familiarisation for all members of the ship's crew and is based on the STCW 95 convention requirements.
Louis Roskell is the regular artist for Maritime Progress and has been involved in the production of posters and manuals for many years. Louis, a qualified master mariner with experience in safety management, is fully aware of the importance placed on Induction and Familiarisation by the responsible ship owner and manager.

Louis comments, "I have enjoyed collaborating in producing and creating the artwork for numerous Safety Awareness and Training posters. I know from first hand experience the amount of research which is involved in ensuring that the subjects covered by the posters are both topical and relevant. A considerable amount of work and commitment from the team at Maritime Progress has ensured that this latest addition to the range is professionally correct and will prove of considerable benefit to managers wanting to get this particular message out to the crews on board their ships".
